Human Resources Manager - Automotive Background

Opportunities like this one do NOT come along every day.  Do you have what it takes to move into this challenging and rewarding opportunity??  Immediate hire - Urgent Need - Fortune 500 Company.  Our client is solid Tier I Automotive Supplier (one of the world's largest) and one of the top financial performers in the industry.  They currently have an opportunity for a seasoned Human Resources Manager to manage all HR functions of two  facilities within the same beautiful area of Indiana not far (about 60 miles) from Indianapolis. 

The ideal person will be a dynamic individual who is capable of working well both at the plant level and the corporate level and will have a progressively responsible background within an automotive environment and thus understands the challenges that are unique to the industry.  Labor Relations background definitely preferred.

The selected candidate will have responsibility for:

Leading the HR function at both sites.
Positive employee relations & labor relations.
HR strategy in support of plant Operations Plan.
Lead HR Team in delivery of timely organizational service and support (recruitment, promotions, manpower movement, benefits communications, employee relations events, etc.).
Administering and tracking mini-ECI survey.  Communicate survey results to leadership and track actions.
Support organization’s training needs as identified in EPDP (salary) and training sign-offs (hourly).
Track training hours and keep training records.
Site coordinator for Affirmative Action Plan.
Participating in local Human Resources networking, including member of local personnel association.
Communicating information, as appropriate, to various levels of the organization.
Administering site EPDP and MRR processes.
Compensation administration.
Overseeing New hire orientation process.
Responding to Department of Labor or litigation matter requests for information.
Advising management regarding employee relations impact to meeting Operation Plan goals and objectives.
Preparing for and attending Workers Compensation Benefit Review Conferences and Department of Labor appeals hearings as required.

Education: Bachelors Degree in business, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.  Masters degree preferred.
Experience: 10+ years experience managing the HR function in a manufacturing facility is necessary.  Multi-site HR management experience is a preferred.  Labor relations experience is also preferred.
